Jack's (Sean Hayes) insistence that Will (Eric McCormack) be nicer to his fiancé, Estefan (guest star Brian Jordan Alvarez), backfires when Estefan thinks Will is in love with him. In a hurry to buy her boyfriend Noah (guest star David Schwimmer) a Valentine's Day gift, Grace (Debra Messing) unknowingly knocks over a prominent figure while going after a taxi. And when Karen (Megan Mullally) discovers that Noah not only writes her favorite romance novels but also plans to kill off the main character, she forces him to rewrite the story.
After Grace's (Debra Messing) dad, Martin (guest star Robert Klein), is rushed to the hospital with a bleeding ulcer, Grace is shocked when he refuses to take Will's (Eric McCormack) blood for a transfusion. When Will's mom, Marilyn (guest star Blythe Danner), finds out, she uncharacteristically takes Martin to task. Karen's (Megan Mullally) demands for Jack's (Sean Hayes) wedding, along with upstaging him during his one-man show, cause Jack to uninvite Karen from his wedding.
When both Will's (Eric McCormack) and Grace's (Debra Messing) boyfriends, McCoy (guest star Matt Bomer) and Noah (guest star David Schwimmer), ask them to move in, Will and Grace use each other as their excuse to get out of it. Meanwhile, a snowstorm keeps Karen (Megan Mullally) at the office, where she meets Nikki (guest star Samira Wiley), a woman who works upstairs. The storm also traps Jack (Sean Hayes) in an elevator, causing him to reunite with an old flame, Drew (guest star Ryan Pinkston), that tests Jack's commitment to a monogamous lifestyle.

While dealing with doubts about her current relationship, Grace (Debra Messing) meets a charming guy (guest star Reid Scott) at the airport who inspires her to make an impulsive decision. And advice from Smitty (guest star Charles C. Stevenson, Jr.) makes Karen (Megan Mullally) reconsider her commitment to Nikki (guest star Samira Wiley) and her own sexual orientation.
