Bart attends a comic book convention and decides he wants to buy the first issue of “Radioactive Man” comics for $100. He tries and fails to earn the money in various ways, including helping elderly neighbor Mrs. Glick, who works him like a horse then gives him a quarter. So, Bart decides to go in with Milhouse and Martin, both of whom want the comic, though neither has enough money. They soon find that joint ownership is more difficult than it seems, as none of the three wants to let the comic out of his sight. Bart goes temporarily insane, tying up Martin and fighting with Milhouse, until the comic is blown into a driving rainstorm and destroyed, leaving the three boys to ponder the evil of greed.

A movie based on comic book character Radioactive Man is filmed in Springfield. Much to Bart’s chagrin, the coveted part of the hero’s sidekick, Fallout Boy, goes not to him but to Milhouse.

After comic book guy has a heart attack, he turns the store over to Bart and Milhouse. They discover comic book guy is collection of secretly recorded videotapes, while CBG begins a torrid romance with principal skinner's mother.

Inspired by a highly successful cartoonist who visits his school, Bart creates an embarrassing Internet cartoon, “Angry Dad,” based on Homer. Meanwhile, Marvel Comics’ Stan Lee visits Comic Book Guy’s store – and won’t leave.

Skinner finally agrees to marry Edna...but gets cold feet and blows the deal. She rebounds with Comic Book Guy, leading to a climactic battle at Comic-Con.

When Lisa is humiliated by a judge at a county fair, Homer gets revenge by anonymously pie-ing the villain. He becomes a superhero, until his identity is discovered and his powers abused by Mr. Burns.

After Marge launches a gym for “regular women,” and becomes a successful businessperson, Homer decides to have his stomach stapled so she’ll find him more attractive.

In an episode co-written by and featuring the voice of Seth Rogen ("Knocked Up"), Comic Book guy creates a comic book--"Everyman"--whose hero absorbs the power of any comic book he touches. Homer is cast in the lead, and gets physically fit with the help of a personal trainer. But when the trainer leaves for another job, Homer regains the weight he lost, wreaking havoc on the film.

Springfield's Easter is ruined by a prank and all fingers point to Bart. It is up to Lisa to save her brother, in a student court presided over by Attorney General Janet Reno. Meanwhile, inspired by an old comic book, Mr. Burns becomes an ineffectual superhero--fruit bat man.

Comic Book Guy realizes his comics are nothing if he can’t share them with anyone. Then he meets Kumiko, a Japanese woman writing an autobiographical manga, and he seeks out Homer’s advice on how to date her, ending happily for everyone.
