Animal Kingdom: The Complete Series

In the series premiere episode, J moves in with his estranged family in Oceanside, California after his mother dies of a heroin overdose. He finds himself drawn into a dark world funded by criminal activities that he's been shielded from for years, as she and his uncles plan their upcoming heist. For the moment protected by Smurf, J must prove his loyalty to stay alive.

The Codys must deal with the aftermath of the heist as they discover all did not go as planned. Smurf dispatches her boys to tie up loose ends, but her efforts are complicated by Baz and Pope's growing rivalry. As Pope gets increasingly volatile, J finds himself in the middle.

While Craig recovers from a wound, Baz and Craig deal with some old associates down in Mexico. Meanwhile, strapped for cash, Pope takes charge and ropes Deran and J into a job without Smurf's knowledge. Threatened by J's participation, Deran sends him a terrifying message.

As the boys gear up for Pope's birthday, Smurf wants to know if they're playing by her rules. J learns more about his mother's estrangement from the family.

When Deran won’t come home, Pope goes to extreme measures. Baz gets an idea for the Codys’ next job. J goes out with his teacher, while Smurf confronts her past.

When Pope tests positive for drugs, Smurf does what it takes to keep the family intact. Baz gets his brothers to rob a house as part of his larger plan. J discovers the plan and faces a moral dilemma.

While Smurf takes care of unfinished business, Craig and Deran throw a party at the house. Forced to accelerate his timetable, Baz takes the final step in his long con. J makes a dangerous mistake.

Tensions run high as the Codys prepare for their big heist. Catherine gets a shock and must decide what’s best for her family, while J faces pressure from the cops.

While the Codys go after the biggest score of their lives, the cops put J in an impossible position. Catherine triggers Smurf’s suspicions when she comes over to make amends, so Smurf sends Pope to investigate.

Puzzled by Catherine’s disappearance, Baz hunts down all leads. With J caught in the middle, the cops close in on the Codys and threaten to take them all down in the season finale.

As the second season opens, the Cody clan is back to their old ways and in the midst of a fun, high-adrenaline heist. But when things don’t go as planned, the family dynamics become more fractured than ever as some members advocate for independence from Smurf. Adding fuel to the fire is an external threat from Smurf's past that has come back to haunt her. In the second season premiere episode, a risky heist misfires and the boys blame Smurf, sending shockwaves through the family. Meanwhile, Baz copes with being a single parent and Deran makes plans for the future.

As Smurf adjusts to being sidelined, the boys scope out their next job. When Deran needs some quick cash, Pope and Craig lend him a hand. Meanwhile, Baz investigates Catherine’s disappearance.

Smurf takes J to the desert for an old friend’s wake. Meanwhile, Baz visits Lucy (new series star CAROLINA GUERRA) in Mexico, and Pope bonds with Amy (guest star JENNIFER LANDON) from the MegaChurch, while babysitting Lena (guest star AAMYA DEVA KEROLES). And Deran considers what he’ll risk to get a liquor license for the bar.

With the bar set to open, Deran frets about telling Smurf about it. Meanwhile, Pope and Amy go on a date, while Nicky must choose between Craig and J.

As the boys put the MegaChurch heist in motion, Craig has second thoughts. Meanwhile, Javi (guest star ALEX MERAZ) surprises Smurf with a visit.

As Javi ratchets up the pressure on Smurf, she enlists J to help her. Confronted by a secret Catherine kept from him, Baz clashes with Pope in the wake of the MegaChurch job.

The boys consider how far they’ll go to help Smurf eliminate Javi. Shaken by what’s happened, Nicky and J get closer. Meanwhile, Baz shares new information with Pope about Catherine’s disappearance.

As the cops press Amy about the church robbery, Pope diverts their suspicions. And while Craig plans an unusual heist of his own, Baz tails Smurf to find out what she’s really hiding.

When Baz bows out of the yacht heist, Craig and Deran consider their options. Meanwhile, Baz recruits J for a more personal job.

As Craig leads the boys and Nicky in pirating the yacht, Smurf tries to find out who robbed her. Meanwhile, Baz considers what life would be like without Smurf calling all the shots.

Baz puts his plan to take down Smurf in motion as Marco (guest star JOSEPH JULIAN SORIA) cashes in a favor with Craig and Deran. Meanwhile, Pope seeks the truth behind the reasons for Catherine’s death.

With Smurf in jail, Baz makes his move to run the family; but his brothers have other plans.

When Smurf realizes she may be in jail a lot longer than expected, she pits her sons against one another – the consequences be damned in the season finale episode.

In the third season premiere episode, Baz fights for his life as the Cody boys figure out what their next move is in the aftermath of the shooting. Meanwhile, Smurf gets some surprising news in jail and fields an offer from Pearce (guest star Gil Birmingham).

J struggles to keep the family business afloat after Smurf enlists him to make sure all the bills get paid. Deran makes his own moves independent of the family. Pope learns the ins and outs of parenting as he cares for Lena (recurring guest star AAMYA DEVA KEROLES) and Craig makes enemies in Mexico.

Smurf navigates prison politics in pursuit of a potential job. J pulls the Cody boys together to keep the family enterprise going. Nicky gets into serious trouble when she tries to impress an old friend.

With the cops on their tail, the Cody boys try to pull off their first heist without Smurf and Baz. They return to find unexpected guests waiting at the house. Smurf demands that J get rid of them as she deals with a problem of her own in jail.

Deran gets to know his father Billy and helps J with a dilemma as Pearce closes in on Smurf’s laundering operation. Craig uncovers a secret that sends him to Smurf; and Nicky must decide whether she belongs in the Cody family or not.

J tries to make his relationship with Nicky work as he faces pressure from Smurf to clean up loose ends from Javi’s murder. Craig gathers the boys to defend the Codys’ reputation in town when outsiders move in on their territory. Billy gives Deran an idea for a job.

Deran leads the charge in planning the weed heist. Lucy (series star CAROLINA GUERRA) calls Pope down to Mexico for some intel on Baz’s murder. J reaches a breaking point with Smurf. Craig learns more about Billy’s girlfriend Frankie (guest star DICHEN LACHMAN).

The weed heist goes awry and leaves J and Deran stranded. Pope and Billy butt heads as Craig tries to keep the peace between them. Smurf learns about what J has been hiding from her since she’s been away.

A decision from Deran’s past comes back to haunt him. J works to get back into Smurf’s good graces as she tries to take away his control over the family business. As he learns more about the Cody dynamics, Billy uses his past with Smurf to his advantage.

Tensions run high as Billy pressures the family to give him what he’s owed. Craig has a surprise meeting that makes him reconsider his future. Smurf comes to the boys with a proposal and they struggle to hold onto the freedom they had when she was in jail.

Smurf enlists the boys in a surprise job that results in devastating consequences. Pope is forced to confront the truth about Baz’s murder, as J steps up for the family in an unexpected way.

While the Cody family picks up the pieces from their showdown with Lucy, Smurf is determined to reel Pope back into the fold at any cost. Meanwhile, J goes to extreme lengths to protect a secret.

In the season three finale episode, J realizes the danger of balancing his role in the family with his personal ambitions. Deran wants to take his relationship with Adrian to the next level, but it’s not as easy as he hoped. Frankie opens new doors for Craig. And Smurf offers to give the boys the independence they’ve been asking for, but it doesn’t come for free.

In the season four premiere, the Codys pull off a risky robbery that results in a big realization for Craig. The relationship between Smurf and Pope remains rocky even as Pope tries out a new outlet for his anger. Deran involves Adrian in the family business despite warnings from Craig, as J tests the waters of his new identity outside the Cody empire. A new criminal crew is introduced with a surprising connection to the Codys.

J reconsiders his relationship with Smurf after he gets bad news about Morgan’s death. Frankie (recurring guest star DICHEN LACHMAN) lures Craig with the promise of another big score. The arrival of an old family friend surprises Pope; and Deran questions if Adrian is really ready to accept him for who he is.

As Craig feels the pressure of pulling off Frankie’s increasingly complicated job, J grows frustrated with Mia. Deran tries to get Pope out of the house, and Smurf decides she needs answers.

The Cody boys are thrown by Smurf’s increasingly unnerving behavior as she shows up in unexpected places. J realizes he needs to set his own plans in motion if he wants to lead the family. Deran gets disturbing news from an old friend; and Pope struggles to resist the advances of Angela.

Pope learns disturbing details about where Smurf has been, and the revelation puts Angela’s spot in the house in jeopardy. Adrian’s return to Oceanside leads to a confrontation with Deran, as J lays the groundwork for a new job.

Suspicion grows when Smurf learns of a new threat to the family. Craig tracks down Frankie in the wake of her betrayal, and Deran makes a dangerous decision to try and protect his relationship with Adrian.

Smurf orders the Cody boys to plan a dangerous job while she orchestrates an elaborate party at the house. J tries to ally himself with Pope, but learns he’s in way over his head. Craig responds to a challenge to his newly formed family with Renn.

Pope grows suspicious of J when Angela reveals the circumstances of her disappearance. As the threats against Adrian loom larger, Deran scrambles to find a way out. Meanwhile, Craig navigates new complications in his relationship with Renn. And Janine (recurring guest star LEILA GEORGE) takes on a different role in the crew’s latest heist as she plans her future with Colin (recurring guest star GRANT HARVEY).

With their kingdom without a leader, the Cody family’s struggle to maintain their fragile alliance, and to see which of them will come out on top. Meanwhile, they search for more information on Pamela Johnson whom Smurf made the beneficiary of her estate. And back in 1984, an increasingly volatile 29-year-old Smurf (series star Leila George) is forging her own path raising Pope and Julia and leading the charge on dangerous jobs with new and old friends. In the season five premiere, the Codys are forced to tie up some loose ends with the cousins and figure out what the family looks like without Smurf.

As Pope deals with Smurf’s remains, Craig and Renn (recurring guest star Christina Ochoa) balance their old lives with being new parents. Meanwhile, J finds a new job through an old contact, and Deran can’t outrun his past with Adrian.

J’s business secrets come to light as Pope mourns the loss of Smurf. And while Deran distracts himself from his own loneliness, Craig and Renn struggle to find a work-life balance.

Deran follows up on Smurf’s will and grows frustrated with J calling the shots. Meanwhile, Pope’s mental state is fragile and Craig must deal with being a solo dad as Renn goes back to work.

As Deran and J compete for control of the family, Pamela (guest star Charlayne Woodard) presents the Codys with a risky proposition. Pope processes an additional loss by exploding in violence, and Craig does business with Frankie (recurring guest star Dichen Lachman).

For the first episode of the season, Gia visits the Cody’s with a job opportunity. J schemes finances. Deran learns new renters are disrupting the neighborhood. Craig struggles with sobriety and co-parenting Nick under Renn’s monitored visitation.

J holds a family meeting, on the hunt for a new attorney. Against J’s wishes, Pope refuses to sell his vacant lot. Deran embraces his clout. Craig’s sobriety is challenged. In 1992, Smurf and Andrew meet with a lawyer to discuss the assault charges against Andrew. Julia struggles to be heard in a family that always sides with Smurf.

Deran and Pope search for Craig. J tries to sell Gia’s diamonds. Much to Smurf’s displeasure, Julia gets a job at the mall and Andrew embraces Church.

J gets to know the new attorney while Craig scouts a potential new job. Deran hangs out with a guy from out of town. Pope helps a kid at the skate park. In 1992, Baz visits Andrew’s Church.

The Cody’s prep for the next job in present day. A reluctant Andrew, Baz, and Julia do a job for Smurf in 92.

The Cody’s stage a jewel robbery. Craig and Deran are at odds. In 1992, Julia and Baz spend more time together.

Pope prepares to see an old friend. Craig needs Deran’s help when Nick’s in trouble. J pursues Penny romantically. Andrew wants to be called Pope.

Deran and J consider a small job. Craig, Renn, and Nick spend the day together as a family. Pope senses something is off. Andrew finds out about Julia.
