So glad to stubble on this podcast.
Thanks for sharing! I'm a small farmer in America. Excited to keep listening.
World Organic News Rocks!
Just discovered worldorganicnews when linked to various obits of Bill Mollison (Mr. Permaculture). The old-timey Morse Code radio signal opening and closing tones makes me think this show was originally produced during the blitzkrieg, but that would make it England. And it's New Zealand! Host Mr. Jon Moore reads his gathered weekly news in an objective, sometimes monotone, voice, which is an encouraging way to receive sometimes end-of-days-information. World Organic News reports on sustainability issues, and does it really well. Segments are brief but infinitely informative, and include reference links to source materials (how responsible! and generous). Mr. Moore, with deadpan asides, smart and thoughtful commentary, and encouraging instruction, makes me think it might actually be possible for each of us individually to do one or many small steps illustrated each week which could improve the choices we make regarding our food and water quality, and even the overall health and longevity of the planet. The show's not preachy, even if my review sounds like it is! This is a good show, worth a listen!
Finally a News Show Focusing on the Most Important Topic in the World
Jon has been curating the most up to date articles about agriculture and food and how we can save our planet on the Organic World News for over 2 years now! Having a podcast to share that knowledge is an awesome way to learn more in short easy soundbites! He’s like the Edward R Murrow of Green News!
