Telling history!

John, what an incredible job you’re doing by compiling Purple Heart recipients and allowing them to tell their stories. As a recipient myself, and a student of history, i appreciate how you’re giving a voice to this group. The stories i have listened to, until this point, have been very honest and moving! I’m inspired every time i listen to one of these stories because it speaks to the resiliency of the American Military. I’m fortunate to have been able to gain employment at a VA medical center and am surrounded by these types of individuals. One day, i hope to be able to establish a history project here that will document and celebrate all the accomplishments of the veterans who utilize our medical center. Thank you, again, for continuing to lead our community even after you removed your uniform.

Please, if you read this review, take the time and listen to these stories. The information here is the real life experiences of the doers of war and if these stories aren’t heard and understood, our country will never, truly, be able to understand the cost and sacrifice of war

Great podcast about real life heroes

I came across this podcast by chance. It is not something I typically would listen to, but I am so glad that I did. The compelling story of how each individual came to receive their Purple Heart is inspiring and insightful. John Konya does an excellent job in bringing these heroes to the forefront and in sharing their tales. I would not hesitate to recommend this podcast to anyone in any demographic as I believe the stories told share an universal truth that we all can gain from.
