Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation (tv 1987)
Description
Producer Andrew joins Joe to talk about the character of Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation. We're looking at two episodes, "Elementary, My Dear Data" and "Measure of a Man." In one, the holodeck causes chaos (as always) when Data plays Sherlock Holmes, and in the other it is argued that Data is just a piece of Starfleet-owned equipment that can be taken apart and studied. Both offer meditations about identity and AI, and both originally aired in the late 1980s.

Yea!!!
It’s so entertaining
Great fun show
I found this podcast looking for shows about a random favorite character. Since then, I’ve gone back and listened to several episodes about a good variety of characters and stories. I love the positive vibes, the blend of nostalgia and analysis, and just the overall good humor in the show.
Solid and Fun
It's just so fun to hear Joseph and his guests’ (I got to be one!) shared love and excitement for great stories. I love their enthusiasm, the range of stories they discuss (comic books, TV shows, movies, books), and the special episodes where they have competitions (especially the TV show pitches one and the Mother's Day mother and orphan matching one). I listen to it while at home and with my kids, and it feels like I'm a part of the conversation. Thanks for the great work you do!
