The Two Gomers Podcast is a long-running podcast chronicling the adventures of two regular guys and their quest to chase - and embrace - healthy aging. Steven and Anthony, friends that have known each other since middle school have been podcasting together for almost 15 years, are facing mid-life with abandon. Each week they talk about a small move (or Baby Step) they've made toward health, press into a bigger issue they are trying to face with grace as they age, and finish by calling out What Gave Them Life that week. And of course, a ton of fun stuff along the way.

The Two Gomers Podcast premiered on Sept 10, 2008 and the show has been going strong for 15 years, 13 very full seasons, a spin-off (Perfect Movie) and the Bonus Disc, their Patreon feed. They have trained for and run 5ks, 10ks, half marathons, full marathons, and triathlons in their endeavor to become healthier and fully embrace life. And one thing has remained the same: you're invited along for the ride.

What Would You Say To Your Younger Self?

We step into the Delorean and try not to unravel the very fabric of the space time continuum and destroy the entire universe while giving our younger selves a little but of advice. No sports betting here, we promise! Just heartfelt, gentle words of encouragement toward health that we hope won’t cheat our younger selves out of the amazing gifts we received in our 20s…including failure, unmet expectations, and mistake after mistake after mistake. Plus an all-time Gomer’s Tip and Solar Eclipse Chaaaat!

    Go To The Doctor

    Go To The Doctor

For those of us in midlife, we know: our bodies ain’t what they used to be. So why are so many of us so resistant to learning more? Why, when we are hurt or suffering, do we ignore it rather than get help or advice? Is ignorance really bliss?

Join the guys as they talk openly about their own barriers to going to the doctor, their desires to be healthy, and how they feel about people messing with their butts. Plus, a Gomer Update and What’s Bringing Us Life This Week! Happy Colonoscoping!

To Streak or Not To Streak?

To Streak or Not To Streak?

No, this ep isn’t about whether our body-image is healthy enough to run around naked on the field during a football game. We are talking about consistency streaks – like when you run for a week in a row, or eat a healthy meal every day for a month, or close your rings for 541 days without stopping, or when you do Wordle a lot. Do streaks – and one’s adherence to them (or lack thereof) – help or hurt in a journey toward health? The guys dig in to the pros and cons, and discuss an alternative that might help them, and you. Plus more grocery store clips, a healthy amount of Dune Part Two Chaaaaaat, and Bob Dylan too. Happy Streaking!

    Have a Good Evening

    Have a Good Evening

Having trouble settling down before bed? That could be bad for your health. And your sleep. And your morning. And your day. Repeat ad infinitum.

The guys talk about what it takes to separate from the business of the day and get ready for night in this, the second ep in the Truman “Have a Good…” series. Circadian rhythms! Seinfeld routines! Sunglasses at night! Pillow talk boundaries! And a very mysterious event that they can neither confirm or deny, that happened already, so I guess we can confirm it now? Have a good evening!

Who Am I Trying to Impress, Anyway? Part II

In Part II of our 400th episode, we continue digging into our first Core Question, going deeper and getting more personal. Plus, What’s Giving Us Life, the return of Songs To Run To, and of course, a ton plus ton fun stuff along the way.

Who Am I Trying To Impress Anyway? Part I

Who Am I Trying To Impress Anyway? Part I

We mark our 400th episode by asking our first Core Question. It’s about where we seek validation, why we seek approval, and how doing so in unhealthy ways can be an unwelcome giant in our lives. And it is such a beefy topic (with so much amazing input from the Gomernation) that we had to split it in two! This is Part I, complete with What’s Giving us Life and the return of Gomers’ Tips of the Week…plus SO much fun stuff along the way, and one heck of a cliffhanger. Happy 400, and here’s to 400 more!

Patricia gr ,

Congratulations!

My dear Steven and dear Anthony—
Well, I am IMPRESSED. You two have grown in amazing ways, and those of us who have run/walked with you all the way are proud to have you in our lives. Here’s to 400 more— onward to a new century.
I can’t wait for the CORE questions.

Listen from the Beginning

I found the Gomers ten years ago while training for my third marathon. Listening to them teach themselves to run long distances is a hoot! Listening to them grown in their friendship and share their joys, triumphs, and challenges brings me happiness and comfort. Don’t miss out on the early episodes while you listen to these men grown into healthy aging.

Puyallup Kevin ,

15 Years and Counting!

I’ve been listening to the GOMERS podcast for nearly 15 years now, and I can’t believe I haven’t given it a review yet! This is a podcast that will help you live with, laugh with, and love yourself and others, while having a ton of fun along the way. Start with the 10 year anniversary episodes in 2018 and go from there! Happy running!
