Episode #4: Holly Benner
“Life is hard, but suffering is optional. We need each other to get the most out of ourselves. The word compete, we think, it’s because one person beats everyone else. But compete is latin for competere, which means to strive together. If you need help, reaching out is a strength.”
Holly Benner joins us on the podcast to discuss her recent smashing of the course record at The Long Run Spring Forward by The Running Kind. We scratch the surface on how she got into running, her background in sport & her upcoming goals for the 2024 race season. Holly shares her philosophies on coaching, as she coaches a variety of athletes and business professionals through her coaching business Metta Performance.
“Strength does not come from physical capacity, it comes from an indomitable will.” Gandhi
Metta Performance
“We believe that sustainable training, education, and purpose-driven community work together to build adaptability and resilience so that athletes can get their best results again and again.”

Episode #3: We're Going Vegan
"We don't need to farm animals, you know, to live, to be strong and to be top performing athletes. We can do all of that on a plant based diet. We can feel good about it and we can minimize that environmental impact and the suffering that happens. And it really just starts with you."
In Episode #3, Aimee and Emily talk about their journeys into veganism and why they made the shift. They dive into what it is like to be a plant-based athlete & eating for maximal performance gains. In addition to athletic performance, they discuss the ethical reasons for choosing a plant based diet and how that affected their decisions to choose vegan everyday.
