The Ninja Poké-Showdown
On the way to the Fuchsia Gym, Ash and the gang find themselves lost in a mysterious mansion filled with traps and tricks around every corner. Ash’s skills are put to the test when confronted by two ninja Pokémon trainers and things get a bit sticky when Team Rocket appears.
Will Ash earn a Soul Badge? How do Team Rocket carry all their costumes? What can cure Psyduck’s intermitable headache???
On this week’s episode we discuss the importance of never underestimating people (or Pokémon), thinking before you act, and how to communicate telepathically with your Pokémon. -
Dig Those Diglett!
On the way to Fuchsia Gym, our gang is thrust into an extermination scheme to get rid of the Diglett that are interrupting the construction of the Gaiva Dam! But, who is in the right? Are aliens really behind the construction zone? Will Gary Oak and his fan club be able to eradicate the pesky Diglett? Will Jessie and James ever get lunch???
In this week’s episode, we emphasize the importance of environmental protection, self interest vs interest in others, and insight into creating the voice of Diglett. -
Sparks Fly for Magnemite!
We’re back with an electric episode! The trio travels to Gringey City (we can all relate), where there are more factories than people, and no Pokémon… or so we think! Things run a-“muk” when the power goes out in the city, and Ash and the gang must use their “magnetic” personalities and Pokémon to solve the problem!
In this episode we discuss electric and magnetic fields, pollution and our personal choices, and the “oddball” of the family, Nurse Joy! -
The Punchy Pokémon
In this week’s episode, Ash and Pikachu kick their training up a notch- Rocky style! The appearance of a supposedly wild Hitmonchan launches our trainers into the world of punching Pokémon. Do Ash and Brock have what it takes to become P1 Champions? Will Anthony ever go home to his family? And what is under Giles’ trench coat???
We discuss stage combat, knowing your limits and when to throw in the towel, and the affect social groups have on your mental health and cognition. -
Special Notice: We're Taking a Mid-Season Spring Break!
SPECIAL NOTE: Hello from the airport! We're on our way to Cape Town for Comic Con Africa and celebrating the halfway point in the season with a short spring break. We look forward to resuming our regular episode drops next week. Thanks as always for your support!

Pokémon Fashion Flash
Our friends find themselves on Scissor Street- a place where fashion flourishes and breeders flock! A mysterious salon has just opened and is taking business away from Susie- a very accomplished breeder focused on substance over style.
Can Ash and Brock help Susie prove that it’s what’s on the inside that counts? Or will Misty fall prey to fabulous Salon Rockét, where beauty is more important than brains?
In this episode we discuss the importance of self care, how a life on the road compliments academic achievement, and emulating Team Rocket’s knack for personal flair!

Such a power duo!
Veronica and Rena have such great chemistry and compliment one another. I could listen to them talk for hours on about anything. Not even a huge Pokemon fan but somehow they make it so interesting to listen to.
You teach me and I’ll teach you!
I can’t express just how much this podcast fills my heart with the utmost joy. The first season of Pokémon is so incredibly special to me because it gave me a lifelong passion for storytelling, world building, and a love of art in so many different forms. Over the years, I built strong friendships around the anime, video games, and card games. I love the insight as Veronica and Rena talk about each episode and hearing what was going on behind the scenes. It shows how hard everyone worked to make this such an unforgettable show. Thank you so much, Veronica, for voicing my favorite childhood protagonist. Ash was the first character I ever saw myself in. And thank you both for putting together this show!
Nostalgia meets Wholesome Positivity
I’m only a few episodes in, but I’m really loving the vibe of the podcast. Revisiting my favorite show from my childhood along with the voice of the main character would be awesome enough, but to hear each episode broken down to what meaning or lessons could be learned both in the Pokémon world as well as our own, reminds me of how my mom would make lessons out of shows and movies we watched together. When we would watch a tv show or movie as a family, mom would always ask questions about the characters’ choices to make my sister and I think about life and our own choices. Hearing the two Ms. Taylors doing basically the same thing, as mother and daughter in this podcast, takes me right back to my own childhood.
Great job! Keep it up!
