The Nielson Show Edmonton Sports Talk

To start the third hour, the boys start with some Mr. Mikes ‘Kind of Easy Trivia.’
 
They then transitioned to ‘Three Questions Too Many’ from Park Mazda.
 
Greg Wyshynski hopped on the show in the final hour of today’s Nielson Show. Wyshynski gave some serious love to the Oilers. He shared his thoughts on this series as a whole, and what he’s liked most from the Oilers in this year playoffs.
 
The boys finished the show with ‘The Wrap’ for William Huff.

To get the second hour going, Jamie McLennan stopped by to talk all things Oilers and Stars. He shared his thoughts on how the Oilers matchup, how good Evan Bouchard is playing and finished with his thoughts on Stuart Skinner and his last 2 starts.
 
In the middle of the hour, the boys had some Whistle Dogs… and they were delicious. Right after that Dusty gave his Coolbet ‘Hotline of The Day!’
 
To finish off the second hour, the boys gave some ‘Free Advice’ from Damon Bunting… and this was a classic.

The fellas start the show, with ‘Morning Announcements’ Presented by 100.3 The Bear to recap all the biggest stories from last night.
 
In the second half of the first hour, the boys took a dive into the Oilers vs Stars series.
 
The boys finished the hour discussing the marriage proposal that was had just the other night in the moss pit.

To start the third hour we play 'Kind of Easy Trivia' for Mr Mikes where we call a random texter for a play for a chance to win a $25 Mr. Mikes gift card!
 
We then hit 'Three Questions Too Many' for Park Mazda as well!
 
Former Oilers goalie Joaquin Gage then stops by to give his view on Game 7! Gager talks about Evan Bouchard's game and how he was a bit skeptical of his defensive game. Before he thought that Darnell Nurse had to step up during the playoffs for the Oilers to succeed but Evan Bouchard stepped up instead. Gager thinks Bouchard is up there in the conversation for a Conn Smythe trophy.
 
Joaquin then breaks down how he saw Kris Knoublauch and his coaching before getting into the Oilers' next series against the Stars.
 
To wrap up the show, the fellas get into 'The Wrap' for William Huff while also giving away a $20 A&W gift card for the text of the day from 'The Paris Jewellers Inbox!'

Craig Button joins as the 'Pro Am Sports Big Guest of the Day!' He shares his thoughts on how great the Oilers played and flashes back to how their season started with the poor team play and the change in coaching. He highlights some big defensive plays made in Game 7 that were taught to the team throughout the season. He looks at the series as a whole giving the biggest takeaway he saw for the Oilers. Conviction and commitment. Button speaks on special teams and the powerplay while analyzing the commitment the team had in those moments to kill penalties. Kris Knoblauch had conviction to start Stuart Skinner and make the coaching changes he did which truly helped the Oilers beat the Canucks. 
 
Craig Button then sheds some light on Dylan Holloway and the confidence he's shown in the NHL speaking back on his wrist injury in college that affected his performance up until now.
 
He moves onto the stellar play of Evan Bouchard and how he's the first defenceman in the NHL to have 20 points after the first two rounds in the playoffs. Button says that he's always been a smart and crafty player but that he's playing defence as well. Button says that he's the Oilers' #1 guy without a doubt and that he's a top 10-12 defenceman in the league.
 
Of course with the big win to punch their ticket to the Western Conference Final, Craig Button gives his view of what might go down between the Dallas Stars and the Edmonton Oilers.
 
After that, Dusty lays down 'The Coolbet Hotline of the Day!'
 
Dusty and Eric then dive into 'Weekly Confessions' for Spectrum Rent All!
