This profound and ancient story, a conversation between the greatly powerful King Yadu and the brāhmaṇa Avadhūt named Dattatreya, originates in Sanskrit and is sourced from several different translations and interpretations, including that of Srila A.C. Bhakti Vedanta Swami Maharaj Prabhupada.

The story is set as the five Pandava brothers together with their wife Draupadi end their twelve years of exile in the forest, and were about to enter into their thirteenth and final year incognito.
