We review VIOLENT NIGHT, ITS A WONDERFUL KNIFE, THERES SOMETHING IN THE BARN, THE LEECH, THE SACRIFICE GAME and Eli Roth’s THANKSGIVING and then Trey brings a mini review of A CREATURE WAS STIRRING while Nathan does mini reviews for SILENT NIGHT and NIGHT OF THE MISSING. 

And listen to a very Christmasy Tubi Terror where Bill Van Veghel encounters the Ghost of Christmas Crap and may meet his match as he reviews CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR MASSACRE.

Horror Movie Podcast Ep. 225: Celebrating the 10-Year Anniversary of Horror Movie Podcast

Welcome to Horror Movie Podcast, where we’re Dead Serious About Horror Movies. Episode 001 launched on October 25, 2013. And we recently hit the decade mark on October 25, 2023. For this episode, the owner of HMP, Pastor Matt Rawlings, has assembled all the hosts to celebrate the 10-year anniversary. He asked emeritus host, Jay of the Dead, to plan the agenda and moderate this episode. Jay also produced this particular show. All the hosts of HMP are present, and they include The VelociPastor himself, Pastor Matt Rawlings; Jackson “The Ripper” Rawlings; The Night Stalker Nathan Bartlebaugh; Vicious Victor “The Hellcat” Rodriguez; Bloodspray Trey Whetstone; as well as the HMP hosts emeriti: Dr. Shock, The Wolfman, Dr. Walking Dead Kyle Bishop, Gillman Joel, and Jay of the Dead.
During the course of this episode, Jay poses three questions to his co-hosts that all pertain to Horror movie releases from October 25, 2013, and October 25, 2023. Here they are: What was the most haunting Horror movie? Which Horror film has been the most “important” or most influential for the Horror genre as a whole? And which Horror film do you want to personally champion because it is a surprisingly unknown Horror gem? Also, be sure to keep listening through the very end because Pastor Matt regales us with a creepy, real-life Campire Tale about demonic possession! Yikes!

Then our 3 horror hosts each bring one underrated/off-beat slasher to the table to review and follow up with a spirited discussion of other titles that qualify. 

The Velocipastor Matt Rawlings and Nathan invite Dave Zee on to debate the influence of 1996's SCREAM on the genre and whether it truly revitalized the horror landscape or was just one brief flash in the pan. 

On SCREAMING ONLINE, Victor  Nathan and Trey discuss the newly released BIRD BOX: BARCELONA on Netflix. 

Finally, in HORROR ON THE BIG SCREEN, Nathan reviews the new supernatural thriller COBWEB and lets you know if it's worth tracking down in a somewhat limited theatrical run.
