So real and relatable

Wow. I saw Amy and Kalyan speak in farnum center at the old building on Hanover st over a decade ago it has to be by now… at one point had Kalyan as a sponsor for about a week or two lol. Just like she said, never called lol!

I been in and out of the AA and NA program for 15 years throughout my journey. I’ve been sober now for 4 years this time but AA and NA is not part of my story this past 4 years. I healed and recovered in a different way this time as the program had a lot of great things to offer- it did not work for me..I was not the kind of addict that could surround myself with other addicted fresh in recovery.. I always relapsed time and time again…. So my whole 20s was through AA… my 30s now has been my longest sober journey and i have built a beautiful whole new world for myself. Still I changed EVERYTHING and maybe used some tools I learned through that program however I did it another way… I think if you have support and love around you and you are ready to change your life from feeling enough pain and you hate who you are internally only then could I start to heal myself… I love myself today… married… I own a successful six figure business I built all on my own in sobriety, without AA!

Thank you girls for speaking out on this… AA is NOT the only way to change your life and remain sober… I have recovered in a way I never was able to in the program and for the first time in my life I love who I am and love myself on a level I never knew I could.. you guys are killing it and although I don’t personally know you, our paths have crossed as I mentioned in the beginning when Amy brought Kalyan in to the old Farnum center for a commitment… you were someone to look up to then and it’s beautiful to see how much you grew since then and still remain a powerful voice for women in recovery!

Much needed

I met Taylor maybe 3-4 years ago in a mommy class when our boys were still infants. I didn’t know her anymore than service level.

Fast forward to 2022 days though her donating to my parents biggest annual charity event I realize how connected our time lines are.

While our struggles are not the same our spiritual and emotional healing journey is very much connected but also different.

This podcast is so needed for so many women and honestly men too I am so proud of her, I’m proud to know her and proud to be connected to her and Amy as well.
