Wonderful podcast!

This is a wonderful podcast for anyone interested in the Irish language in particular and the relationship of people to the language. It is also a very interesting resource for anyone who is interested in questions of identity and language that come up when studying any language, I think. As a bilingual person who speaks Japanese as a second language, I have found many of the topics in this podcast relate very much to my experience not only of learning Irish, but also to my experience of learning Japanese as a non-Japanese person.

Since I started learning Irish last year, many of the same issues of my own identity have come up. I have discovered many connections between learning Irish and my journey with Japanese and marrying into a Japanese family. This podcast has made me think that perhaps questions of identity and language are quite a universal phenomena. I have enjoyed discovering a new sense of community through this podcast.

Thank you very much for a very thought-provoking and supportive podcast that has not only enriched my study of Irish, but has also encouraged me in my ongoing study of Japanese.

Great podcast

I really enjoy this podcast, and recommend it for any others who are interested in learning Irish, or learning more about the history of the language, of how it’s been taught and learned and lived with over the years, and looking forward into the future too. It’s really enhancing and rounding out my understanding of the language and how it fits in with the history of the country and its people.
