Stone Temple Pilots with Sean Fennessey
The Stone Temple Pilots were given no benefit of the doubt by critics in their heyday, but the band had hits, and did not care. Hailing from Southern California, STP’s equally charismatic, talented, and troubled frontman Scott Weiland helped the band take off quickly, and then frequently kept them in a state of disarray for much of their existence. Along the way Stone Temple Pilots put together a catalog of records that is much stronger upon re-examination than many originally thought. The Breeders with Caryn Ganz

Love the show
I only started listening to Bandsplain around April 2024 and have gotten so much out of the show. So much research goes into the episodes and hearing it through Yasi’s words is hilarious. The show has enriched my life, I really enjoyed the episode about the Breeders and haven’t been able to get the song Cannonball out of my head. I heard about the podcast in The Week magazine for being a good podcast. I’m sad that show will be on hiatus but hope that whatever Yasi embarks on is fulfilling and if that’s in the public sphere that I find her again.

Solid digest of f rock…
This show is so entertainingly informative and educational. The host is engaging and listenable. BUT…the episodes are too long! Break them up into series as opposed to expecting someone to dedicate 2 to 4 HOURS for one episode. Break them up or edit out some of the chatter to present the bulk.
