    40. On Culturally Just Assessments (PES panel)

In this episode, we present a symposium on the idea of culturally just assessments proposed and led by Joy Dangora Erickson, and featuring Winston Thompson, myself, and Cara.

It was convenient to put together because neither Cara nor Winston were able to be at PES in person and so had pre-recorded their comments already.

Topical and thought-provoking

I find these episodes so engaging! I’ve loved listening to episodes that interview people whose work I’ve read before. I’ve also enjoyed learning more about topics that I was less familiar with. I find this podcast deeply enriching and am grateful that it exists.

Wow! I’ve finally found the education podcast I’ve been looking for.

As a teacher, I’ve tried listening to education podcasts before. I’m very interested in reflection and making my teaching practice better. Though I’ve listened to some great episodes of other podcasts, the shows as a whole are hit or miss. This one is fantastic every single week. I don’t feel like I’m being sold products or that these are old methods being repackaged. This podcast ignites my introspection and reinforces my passion for education every week as I listen. I think it is making me a better educator.
