TRC MEETS - Life After The Olympics Was Not What I Expected...
The Running Channel Meets is where we talk to real runners with incredible stories. Each episode we speak with people who inspire us to run, and give our guests an opportunity to tell their stories, often for the first time.
In this episode we chat with Colin Jackson. He's an Olympic silver medalist, two time world champion, and was undefeated at the European Championships for 12 years but that's not why we wanted to talk to him. It was his adjustment to life after athletics and his battles with panic attacks that we felt was a story that people needed to hear.
Topics that we discuss in this episode:
Anxiety
Panic Attacks
The Running Channel Meets was born from The Running Channel podcast. Hosted by Sarah Hartley (amateur runner) and Andy Baddeley (former pro runner) alongside Rick Kelsey (recovering runner), the TRC Podcast is friendly, jargon-free, and the perfect accompaniment to your runs.

Customer Reviews
Hilarous podcast!
This is a worthy competitor to The Drop! Its just friends talking who happen to be runners!. I love how they give andy a tough time always and he’s such a sport. But seriously Andy needs to stop touching his right ear all the time and also needs a wardrobe change, haha! Just kidding! Keep up the good work!
Talking about running? Yeah, it works
As others have pointed out this podcast is both smart and funny. Paired with their YouTube videos I’ve learned a lot to help me set goals and try new things. The challenges have pushed me to seriously run more than I otherwise would have. I enjoy the playful banter and sometimes very informal conversation. I also think this is how podcast ads should work: read by the hosts in the same style as the pod and at predictable times. The Saturday release schedule is different and a nice surprise when all my other regular pods are gone. Hello from Long Island, New York!
Look forward to it weekly
I use this podcast as a tool in my running. Every week there’s a couple days I could use 7 excuses not to run. When I feel this way, I pop this on, and immediately feel like going for a run. Thanks for your help, from beautiful San Diego, California
