Eric Wielo is an LA-based comedian and writer who wrote and appeared on Conan on TBS, and you can currently see on Up & Adam’s on Max, as well as performing regularly at The Milwaukee Improv, as well as headlining and featuring over the country!
In this episode, we continue the discussion Jay Light helped to start about spot pay for features and emcees in clubs around America, some of the bad habits that have gone on in the industry even post #MeToo, and our strange story of how we became friends when he helped reopen The World-Famous Hollywood Improv by hosting mics on their patio with names who I promise you will know, as well as the headliners doing their first sets in a year and a half.
I get into my brief story of getting to follow Orny Adams on that patio which if you know anything about this business, I don’t know if that’ll ever happen again.

Kim McVicar is a Canadian-born stand-up comedian who you can literally see all over America right now. You can see her at The World-Famous Hollywood Improv on Melrose as well as Levity clubs around the southwest.
She also has her third special titled Female Comedian, out now on Amazon Prime and wherever else Comedy Dynamics distributes their specials.
Some explaining to do here. This episode was recorded on what was the first warm day of the year in LA. Because of it, the cameras kept overheating. At one point, I attempted to correct everything by unplugging the power strip. That ended up erasing the first 20 minutes of the episode (lol). 
The good news is, though YouTube tutorials, I figured out how to keep this from happening going forward. That isn't to say this episode didn't suffer. This is a relatively quick, mostly audio-only episode. It's a fun one, definitely was frustrated the whole time cause this was the first episode with the multi-cam setup that crapped out on me like this.
