My name is Erik and as long as I can remember I’ve loved horror. Horror movies. Horror novels. Horror comics. My life's milestones can be measured by the genre. It’s given me years of entertainment, as well as countless sleepless nights. It has kept me young at heart and filled my mind with wonderful memories that I cherish. This podcast is my way of sharing those moments with you. So, starting with my birth year of 1971, I’ll be listing my Top 10 horror films of every year of my life and discussing each one in detail with a little help from my friends. ON THE BRINK OF HORROR! Heathers (1989)
For many of us our High School years were like living inside a horror movie! One film that perfectly captured that feeling of isolation, dread, and uncertainly was 1989's Heathers. A time capsule from a different era that my guest comic book writer Brian Buccellato and I had a wonderful time reminiscing about.

Episode 39: 1989 - Part 1
It's the end of the 80's and the end of your host Erik's High School years. After graduation, 18 year old Erik took some college courses, got a job delivering pizza, and learned how to play guitar. There was also a lot more horror movies as he could now get into Rated R films!

The show is dope.
A novel conceit
Maybe the idea of a year-by-year deep dive into horror films have been tackled before, but as I’ve never encountered them I found the conceit interesting. I’m looking forward to more installments and hoping that some of my more obscure favorites get reviewed.
