Today I'm sharing part of my personal journey with premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) and complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD), and what I've noticed about the trauma healing process working with people as a therapist. An earlier version of myself might cringe a bit, but this episode focuses on self-compassion, self-love, and other forms of tenderness as a key part of the healing journey.

Important Work

I found Elizabeth while searching for a video to share with my partner to describe PMDD. I found way more than that. The thorough mindful exploration of PMDD and C-PTSD is one of the most validating experiences I’ve ever felt.

I’m not big on the mystical arts but I ended up loving her interdisciplinary perspective. It brings to life key concepts that helped me gain enough clarity to start effectively managing my PMDD.

The lens of a witch also underscores the through-line of the suppression and discrimination of women throughout history which is the foundation as to why women’s health is still a frontier even in the modern age.

This podcast is saving my life. Thank you for the work you do!

Love love love this podcast

Elizabeth gets vulnerable with her own experience and follows it up with her professional knowledge. This type of work is so complementary and helpful. I hope she continues to make more episodes when it’s right for her :).
