Idaho’s legislative session ended without a single bill proposed to address our near-total abortion ban, so a group of Idahoans have decided that it’s time for the people of the state to step in. Melanie Folwell, a spokesperson with Idahoans United for Women and Families, joins host Lindsay Van Allen to explain their new approach to bring back access to reproductive care through a ballot initiative.

This week, Idaho was in the national spotlight as the U.S. Supreme Court heard our emergency abortion case. But despite being very open on social media about her thoughts on Idaho politics — especially when it comes to her career as a nurse — she’s fairly private. Not anymore! To celebrate Lindsay’s birthday month, executive producer Frankie Barnhill’s turning the mic around on her. In a landmark decision several years ago, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that when homeless shelters are full, Boise can’t punish unhoused people for sleeping outside. So, why are advocates reporting that the police are still ticketing homeless people? Plus, we find out how a new Supreme Court case could change the law.
