Samurai Clothing In All Its Details
Samurai armor evolved from armor used in ancient China and Korea. Helmets and breastplates are known to have been manufactured in Japan around the 4th century. Foot soldiers and horsemen wore heavy iron breastplates held together by leather straps at the time.
