Such a great podcast!
I must admit I went into this with little knowledge of Tintin, the only thing I had to work with being the old TV show I saw as a kid on Nickelodeon and the Spielberg movie, yet I enjoyed this retrospective on a majority of the comics quite a lot! Each guest and the hosts discuss the book at hand, its strengths and weaknesses, the aspects that have aged well or poorly, their own history with Tintin, and the historical context of the books both on a global/international level as well as that of Herge, the author and creator of Tintin. While I would enjoy a second season that perhaps looked at other Tintin media and how they adapt the material, for good or ill, this series of episodes is well worth a listen, especially if you want an intro to this beloved character’s adventures!
