    Adrienne Mays serves in the capacity of Learning Supervisor at the CDRC, supporting our Blue Steel program. An advocate for student equity and excellence, her accomplishments include recognition as Dallas ISD Campus Teacher of the Year and TEA Exemplary Teacher Designation. She obtained her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Southern Methodist University.
     
    Tobi Fuller is an educator, registered nurse, and program developer with over 18 years of experience working with youth and extensive experience in designing, developing, and instructing programs for various learner types and levels. Tobi serves as Instructional Design Specialist at the CDRC, supporting our Youth Aware of Mental Health (YAM) program.

    Kathryn Forbes interviews Dr. Madhukar Trivedi and special guests Dr. Tracey Brown and Dr. Early Denison about the state of youth in Dallas, Texas.
    Dr. Tracey Brown serves as the Executive Director of Mental Health Services in Dallas Independent School District. A licensed professional counselor who specializes in resiliency and overcoming trauma and grief, she has served in the field of counseling, education, and mental health for more than 28 years, working with thousands of children and families to help them overcome huge obstacles in their life and relationships. Dr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of North Texas, a Master of Arts degree in counseling and certification in professional school counseling from Dallas Baptist University, and a Ph.D. degree in psychology from Walden University. She serves as an adjunct professor at Dallas Baptist University in the School of Education, and is an award-winning author, speaker, and talk show host.     Dr. Early Denison is a pediatrician in the Dallas area and partner in his medical practice. He’s a proud Texas A&M Aggie and received his MD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He co-hosts his own podcast, Parenting for the Present, sharing best practices and up-to-date research for practical and proactive parenting.     Episode 7 features an insightful conversation between Dr. Madhukar Trivedi and Dr. Debra Atkisson about the state of youth in Fort Worth, Texas. What is research showing, and what are the pediatricians and psychologists from the largest clinics in Fort Worth seeing? Hosted by Kathryn Forbes.  
    Debra Atkisson, MD is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist who serves as the Regional Medical Director for Connections Wellness Group in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. As a Professional Certified Coach, she also serves as a Physician Development Coach at the TCU Burnett School of Medicine. She has served in leadership roles in Texas psychiatry, and currently is the President of the Texas Society of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry as well as a Representative to the American Psychiatric Association from Texas. A fifth-generation Texan, Dr. Atkisson graduated from Texas Tech University School of Medicine. She completed a general psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry in Topeka. She is passionate about serving as an advocate for patients’ mental health as well as educating the public and fellow physicians about the many ways we can all help improve the mental health of our patients.
