The Murdaugh family was one of South Carolina's most powerful legal families. Three generations of Murdaughs held the position of solicitor in the lowcountry for almost one hundred years.
In February of 2019 a boat crash killed 19 year old Mallory Beach. Paul Murdaugh, the son of prominent SC attorney, Alex Murdaugh, was charged with three felony counts of boating under the influence, including causing the death of Mallory Beach.
June 7, 2021 Alex Murdaugh found his wife, Maggie, and son, Paul, brutally murdered, shot to death on their property known as Moselle.
On March 2, 2023 Alex was convicted of murdering Maggie and Paul.
Between the murders and the convictions many other crimes came to light.
No one could have expected the twists and turns the story has taken and it is not finished.

We start with the latest news on Colleton County Clerk of Court, Becky Hill.
You may remember that Neil Gordon co-authored, Behind the Doors of Justice, with Becky Hill. Melissa Gordon was the photographer for the book.
Since the book was published, Hill admitted to plagiarizing a portion of the book and she faces multiple ethics investigations. Hill was also accused by Alex Murdaugh's defense team of potential jury tampering for some of the statements she allegedly made to jurors.
Neil and Melissa Gordon join the podcast to discuss how the controversy surrounding Hill affected sales of the book and their opinion of Hill. Plus, the Gordon's discuss how law enforcement interviewed them about their time spent with Becky Hill.

Katie Major: Tragic Death of Pregnant SC Mother & Child Leads To Questions
In 2008, a pregnant mother and her ten month old daughter were found dead near train tracks in Moncks Corner, SC. There were many questions surrounding her death.
Kadie Major's death was ruled a suicide but Kadie's mother continued to fight for justice.

Attorney on your communications and the repercussions
Love this podcast, but the attorney speaking on whether or not the jurors could get in trouble for the way they voted and not reporting any miscommunications was so long and dull. I would suggest she’s not a guest on your show anymore. She said the same thing over and over and over.

The best podcast for Murdaugh. They are not one sided nor overly dramatic. I’ve listened from the beginning to several podcasts pertaining to the Murdaugh’s and I appreciate this one the most. I love that they are in it to find the truth. They report on all sides. Nonbiased. Thank you Seton & Matt.
Brilliant
I haven’t listened to this podcast and probably won’t. Why? Because I’m not interested in anything Murdaugh in the least. But since Mindy Mutley likes to put this podcast down I came here to give it 5 stars.
