    1) Opinion Essays
    2) Discussion Essays
    3) Problem Solution Essays
    4) Advantages & Disadvantages Essays
    5) Double Question/ Two Part Questions Essays
    6) Miscellaneous Essays
    Most questions belong to one of these categories. However, questions can be written in different ways, which can make it difficult to determine their type.
    In this episode , I will give you an overview of all 6 IELTS Task 2 essay types, with some practical tips, a sample question to help you recognise some of the different wording often used and a standard structure for each type that you can use for essay writing process

    IELTS General Training Module Task 1- Informal Letters

    In informal letter writing you should know whom you are writing to and the overall formality of the letter. The task can be addressed to your friends, family, relatives and the ones whom you know personally. Therefore, you should use a informal style as you are writing to a person you know very well.
    They are written in an easy communication style, not too formal with perfect grammar and vocabulary.
    Also it is very important that you do not omit the opening and closing statements. Remember, they are a must!!!
    Your IELTS Informal should be opened with a short explanation for the purpose of writing and end it with a suggestion that relates to it. Try to paraphrase the exam question and do not just copy sentences or words from it directly.

    IELTS General Writing Task - 1 Semi-formal Letters

    In semi-formal letter writing you should know whom you are writing to and the overall formality of the letter. The task can be addressed to your manager, landlord and acquaintances. Therefore, you should use a semi-formal style as you are writing to a person you know, but not very well.
    They are more polite than an informal letter and are written in a neutral style, not too formal nor too informal.
    Also it is very important that you do not omit the opening and closing statements. Remember, they are a must!!!
    How you are opening your IELTS Semi-formal letter depends on the reason for the letter. It is best to open the letter with a short explanation for the purpose of the letter and end it with a request for a related action that relates to it. You will have 20 minutes to respond to a question prompt, by writing a letter to a person, company, or institution. Task 1 response carries 30% to 40% of your writing score and is graded separately from the Task 2 essay.

    The information includes test-taking tips, strategies to identify the type of letter you are being asked to write.

    IELTS READING: Matching Info, Sentence Completion, and MCQ Type

    Multiple choice questions are types of questions that require you to pick the correct answer from the given choices of alphabets A, B, C and D. This tests your ability to understand the detailed and specific information. Matching the Information Type questions require you to find a specific information and place them at an appropriate position. You need to be able to understand every paragraph and what information it contains. In Sentence completion
    type of question, you will find an incomplete sentence. You are supposed to complete it with words taken from the text. You are required to quickly map the incomplete text to a particular location in the text for you to find the correct answer.
    In Summary completion, a summarised text will be given to you. You are required to complete it by selecting words from the text with a given maximum number of words to complete it.
