Me Veo: "Run" with Felicia Murrell

Me Veo: "Run" with Felicia Murrell

It's always easier to scapegoat and be in either/or....to do the blame-game either with ourselves in a victimizing shame spiral or with others in the worst kind of dehumanizing villainization.  In this episode, Brie discusses the desire to move into a more loving stance of both/and, using her song "Run" as a starting point to a conversation with author Felicia Murrrell.

Felicia is a spiritual companion, speaker, certified master life coach with a deep understanding of what it means to be human, and is dedicated to empowering individuals to embrace who they already are and who Love is inviting them to be.  Her latest book "And: The Restorative Power of Love in an Either/Or World," is out now.

Me Veo: "Bloom" with Andreas Weber

Me Veo: "Bloom" with Andreas Weber

How does love soften our edges into a sweet unfurling of who we really are? In this episode, Brie uses her song "Bloom" as the basis for a rich, mystical conversation with Andreas Weber about ecological interdependence, love as enlivenment, and seeing through the eye of the heart.
Andreas Weber teaches at the University of the Arts, Berlin, and he lives in Berlin and Italy.  His latest books include "Enlivenment: Toward a Poetics for the Anthropocene" and the book most discussed in this conversation, "Matter and Desire: An Erotic Ecology."

Do it. Listen.

It will all make sense, even when you don’t want it to, and will make you realize you aren’t the only one wrestling these questions and challenges, but that there are so many ways to face the whole of life.

Like a warm cup of tea (let me explain)

Brie is a compassionate, relentless voice in the no man’s land of post-Christian-but-still-kind-of-Christian-but-really-also-not spiritual exploration. I look forward to each episode like I look forward to my morning cup of tea: though the flavors change, the conversations are always warm and heartening, enlivening listeners like me with courage. Brie and her guests hold space for a community of seekers willing to redefine ideas once believed to be static. Brie is the perfect person to shepherd these conversations and I for one am extremely grateful to her for taking the leap and dedicating her talents and passions to bringing these conversations to life.

The vibe of truth

This season is blowing the mind of this mid-age, white, male, takes my privelage for granted, blue collar, middle class, dime store psycologist, 5 on the Enneagram and religious mongrel. Despite all the rationalizing, deflecting and scape goating; deep down we males know what this power struggle in America is all about. Defending our power!! Period!! Now Brie and her brillant guests have followed the roots of it back to Rome, Christianity and beyond. I honer the courage of these people for exposing the historical truth and yet, to do it in a way that is anti-confrontational. Interesting how the vibe of truth can hold the ultimate power without any aggression whatsoever. Perhaps that will be the gift the divine female can teach us when we finally accept her into our being.
