Best Audio Drama I’ve ever listened to
Well, I guess it’s the first one I’ve listened to, but they can’t ALL be this good. The sounds and voice acting are excellent, especially during the fight sequences. I would have assumed that balancing the slashing of blades, character voices, narration, and music would be difficult, but the crew at Welcome Mat has been dealing with the task excellently. In addition to being a compelling narrator, Massimo has constructed an engaging story, one that is aware of all the fantasy tropes that have come before and slyly gets you reconsidering your expectations as the story progresses.
The characters themselves are also impressive. Being able to construct as many complex, multi-faceted characters as they have without being too long or wordy is no doubt challenging, but they make it fly. These heroes are far removed from the often frustratingly immature characters of the same age that appear all too often in fantasy.
If you’re a fan of good fantasy, passionate work by dedicated, capable crews, and just quality storytelling, then please check out The Legacy Saga.
Loving it, even though this is TOTALLY not my genre
Was glued into this podcast by a friend and, even though fantasy isn’t my usual genre (especially for podcasts), I found myself getting caught up in the characters and the adventure of the whole story. Well-crafted story-telling and professionally produced. When is the next one available?!?
Loving this story
Another wonderful episode. I am really enjoying the story line and look forward to Wednesday’s when another one is released. The characters are slowly revealing more about their talents and makes it all the more interesting.
