    The Planet Smashers Part 1

    The Planet Smashers Part 1

Welcome back! thank you for tuning in as we dive into one of ted and brians favourites the Planet smashers! Part of the 3rd wave ska movement of the mid-late 90s the planet smashers were leaps and bounds above all the canadian ska, and while they toured with bands like Big D and the Kids Table, Mustard Plug and countless others they never had matching success as some of their contemporaries south of the boarder. However they were a mainstay and beloved here. Please like, share, subsciribe! leave us a nice review wherever you get youur podcasts and follow us on Instagram@canadafm!

Episode #3 Doug and the Slugs

Enjoyed episode #3 about Doug and the Slugs. I’m down in the US and had the pleasure of seeing the boys at the Agora in West Hartford CT., my memory is a little foggy but possibly 1980-81. Having never seen them live I didn’t know what to expect and at first Doug’s act(?) was a surprise to me and my date. He could have been Don Rickles child. The music really shined thru and to this day still love their music. In my travels whenever I run into anyone from Canada I always ask them about the band. A great icebreaker. I can’t wait to see the upcoming documentary Doug and the Slugs and Me. Keep up the good work.
