"First Flight" is a Star Trek: Enterprise rewatch podcast designed to take you through a look back at Star Trek's fifth live-action series that aired from 2001 to 2005.
The podcast is your home for revisiting Captain Archer and his crew on board the legendary NX-01 as co-hosts Abby Sommer and Melanie discuss each episode of Enterprise in airdate order. This show will be released twice per month.
Each "First Flight" podcast will include production notes, a brief recap, and discussion and analysis of each episode. Abby and Melanie will also highlight their favorite part of each episode (with their "Porthos Pick"), share some trivia about the episode, and rate each episode on a scale of 1-10 "grapplers" (Vulcan's Verdict).
They welcome you to follow along with your own series rewatch, and submit your Porthos' Picks, Grappler Ratings, and/or general thoughts on the episode. (Please note, contributions may be shared on the podcast!)

Season 3 is here and First Flight, and the Carrot Crew, have many things to say! Chris and Abby are very excited to chat about "The Xindi" - the Season 3 premiere.
Six weeks into the Delphic Expanse, Captain Archer and his crew learn of a Xindi working at a mining colony, and set out to track him down and gain information about the mysterious antagonistic race.

The love is evident!
This is my fourth time going through Enterprise and the primary reason I started it again is I heard about this podcast doing a episode by episode rewatch review. I wanted to enjoy the show again and get some insight as I go. I have not been disappointing. The hosts truly love the show as much as I do.
OMG
I heard the intro and am only ten minutes into the first PODCAST, but really know I will enjoy First Flight. Why? The hosts love Enterprise! I have found several PODCASTS about Enterprise and
I appreciate the enthusiasm these hosts have. Some of the other ones feel like a homework assignment that has as the highlight of the PODCAST simply an advertisement for the sponsors. I maybe wrong so you should see for yourself.
I found Enterprise during this awful COVID period and didn’t even know I missed a whole Star Trek series! I was always a TOS fan. I like all Star Trek, but my preference was TOS because of when I grew up. My first watch of Enterprise was a few months after COVID hit. I loved TOS and it’s cast, but I have actually realized Captain Archers story is what allowed Captain Kirk and the rest to be what heroes they are to us. So in summary, Enterprise is my favorite crew in aggregate! I never, ever, ever, thought I could say that. To me Enterprise is like a favorite novel. You could almost say it is the diary of the first Vulcan to serve with humans on a permanent basis. T’Pol as one will see has connections to human beings long before first contact and throughout Enterprise, you can her understand more about humankind.
If you love Enterprise, listen to this PODCAST and Warp5. If you don’t like this series, I would suggest you listen to something else.
This is an awesome PODCAST for Enterprise!
PS. I think both Enterprise (no ST) I have and a vocal intro is perfect for a pre-quel. ! I am looking forward to listening to all the PODCASTS by hosts who are doing this out of love.
