Ep. 19 - The Saxophone and Holy Shit So Much Other Nonsense

Ep. 19 - The Saxophone and Holy Shit So Much Other Nonsense

it's the first in-person taping of the GBS. unfortunately, nick and max hate spending time with each other and both of them are at wits end. we talk about the saxophone and other gbs related projects. i didn't mention the sick ass sandwich i had or how i think "rip ass" should mean something good instead of being a euphemism for fart.

    Ep. 18 - Gregorian Chant

    Ep. 18 - Gregorian Chant

October isn't the spookiest month because of Halloween, it's the spookiest month because of Sober October (Octsober, as some call it). Max and Nick got together to listen to Gregorian chant and really make things worse for themselves. That music is terrible. So is not drinking.

    Ep. 17 - The Trombone

    Ep. 17 - The Trombone

Our Introduction to Orchestral Instruments continues with the Trombone and the wildest man to ever do it, Oquendo. This was recorded sometime in September but Audacity crashed and I was really too lazy to go back and fix it but here it is!!!!!

Ep. 16 - MOONBASE PLAYS MAHLER ALBUM RELEASE PARTY

Ep. 16 - MOONBASE PLAYS MAHLER ALBUM RELEASE PARTY

Everyone knows the best part of this stupid ass show is the music Nick writes. Somehow, Max convinced Nick he should write a whole album in the style of the GBS music, focusing on a single composer and HERE'S THE RESULT. IT F*****G ROCKS SACK. IT'S GOT EVERYTHING: MAHLER, LEONARDO DICAPRIO, BERNSTEIN, FREE JAZZ SAXOPHONE, WHAT MORE COULD TF YOU WANT FROM ONE ALBUM???? Anyways, if it isn't featured on Pitchfork's "Best New Music" by the end of the day I'm gonna do an I Think You Should Leave quote I can't really put in writing without getting the authorities called.
