Perfect Preview!

I think is an excellent podcast! The episodes are short previews of what to expect in each chapter/shift and gives the background behind their thinking. Have listened to each episode several times and would recommend to anyone reading or considering reading the book.

Waste of time

These authors jumped on SOR bandwagon after they knew they would be out of work if they continued to promote balanced literacy. They promoted leveled readers for kindergarten as recently as 2020. They couldn’t give suggestions for decodable books. Total frauds! The MomsLuv2Read review definitely is also fake!

Surface level

It begins with the premise that balanced literacy can incorporate the science! They contradict one another! Nothing about literacy is balanced! Listen to amplify or Melissa and Lori if you want real science of reading info!
