Well, here it is. The last of the usual format Last Believer podcasts. Josh's mic is too hot and Dan trips over his words a few times. Extremely on brand for this podcast.

No that can’t be right. What is right is this podcast.

It had to be done.

I thought I was the biggest GR fan, but I’ve been bested. At least bested in the ability to describe in detail why I love the band and their songs. Great job breaking it all down- this could take a while...

Mediocre

Let this podcast be a lesson: not every fan should start their own. Last Believer is a great classic song that doesn’t deserve to have its name besmirched by such mediocrity. To be clear, I would have rated this three stars but there’s only so many obnoxious and unethical requests for a five star review I can take. One star it is.

If you’re looking for a podcast that spends more time talking about irrelevant uninteresting garbage than examining the songs of the band to which it is nominally dedicated, look no further. By covering three songs at a time, the discussions tend to be along the lines of “This song has such a fast beat and a catchy chorus” with almost no further elaboration.

Part of the problem with this podcast is that each episode is three songs instead of one. As a self imposed limitation, effectiveness is already disadvantaged. But then the hosts talk about extraneous boring nonsense and waste tons of time talking about their personal lives and other things no one cares about to the point that by the time they are doing these internet quizzes, one’s patience has worn a few atoms thin.

Give this podcast a chance and see if you agree but I can’t stand the terms and conditions breaking unethical five star review begging or any of the other crap. I want analysis and insight and that’s almost nowhere to be found. Again, three stars.
