Great Survivor Podcast
You’ll be glad you let Naomi rob YOU of an hour of your day when you listen to an episode of MWWR.
Mike White Endorsed!
I love it here! Naomi is iconic and I’m happy Mike White came through!
Entertaining and Important in the Survivor fandom
Survivor has a million podcasts, so what makes this one special?
A lot, actually. Naomi and her guests use their platform to honor players who didn’t get their due, examine the systems and unconscious behaviors that affect the outcome of the show, and view the contestants not only as a cast or players but as people.
The curiosity that informs Naomi’s shaping of the show is what gives the guests the chance to shine, even if she disagrees. Her “I don’t know if I agree, but I’m so excited to go down this road with you” is such a fun and encouraging way to engage with people.
At the core lies the “hot takes” format that really gives MWWR the chance to flex its creative muscles. By being counter to the mainstream “cold takes” it gets to examine the “given” practices of the show by exploring how the game and the show can be better from every angle.
But at its core lies a warm kindness. The kindness that informs the pathos of this show is what makes this my favorite survivor podcast. That’s what makes this one special. (Just make sure you’ve seen School of Rock)
