    Let's Talk - Nonverbal Communication

    Let's Talk - Nonverbal Communication

Abby and Kellee touch on how important non-verbal communication is to the healing process for our clients in the therapy space. They share how words are the least important part of the healing process, and ways that non-verbal communication is so vital to attachment trauma work. The acknowledge this topic being hard to explore while using a podcast that involves all talking, and leave listeners with a practice they can do with nature, a pet, or a listening partner.

Hi I'm Mari ,

Thumbs Up from a Non-Therapist!

I don’t work in therapy, but I enjoy learning new things. The range of topics has been good for reflecting on my own experiences in therapy and surprisingly useful in managing my professional relationships. For me, listening feels like an overheard conversation between two experts exploring their work.

To the negative reviewer with the 1-star review purely about a podcaster’s voice… Not cool (and unhelpful) as it’s just your personal preference. My take is equally subjective, but I find both their voices to be calming.

Grounding and Validating

As an attachment therapist, it can be hard to stay grounded in what we know when there is often pressure to learn the new cutting edge techniques. This podcasts helps you both feel AND think about IPNB! A perfect place to start if interested in attachment and neurobiology, and a warm place to land if you need to hear from other therapist humans 😊 Thank you both!

Warning

Do not listen if you have misophonia/can’t stand ASMR. One of the hosts is especially terrible. I brought this to their attention long ago, but they refuse to fix their mics/audio.
