    This week's Stang Gang Podcast features the latest news surrounding Midwestern State Softball with head coach Brittanie Talley. 



    The season comes to a conclusion with a three-game series against Texas A&M International at Mustangs Park on Friday and Saturday. MSU hosts the Dustdevils for a doubleheader that begins at 1 p.m. on Friday, and the finale is scheduled for noon Saturday, which will be Senior Day for the Mustangs. The contributions of six seniors will be recognized: Chloe Bryant, Kennedy Cameron, Kerris Cameron, Brianna Dominguez, Levi Luna and Grace Martinez. MSU has won five of its last six home games and leads the all-time series with the Dustdevils, 11-6.

    Midwestern State head men's and women's tennis coach Scott Linn discusses the challenges his teams face week-in and week-out, and the on-court battles throughout the course of the season.



    Midwestern State has the No. 1 seeded team in the LSC Tennis Championships for both the men and women. The men are co-regular season champions in the LSC with a 7-1 conference record. The Mustangs are the No. 1 seed by virtue of their 4-3 victory over second-seeded UT Permian Basin on April 6. The women won their showdown with Cameron on Sunday, 5-2, and ran the table in conference to claim the outright LSC regular season championship. The men face Western New Mexico at noon on Thursday in the quarterfinals, and the women have an 8:30 a.m. dual match against UTPB.

    Midwestern State head men's and women's tennis coach Scott Linn discusses the challenges his teams face week-in and week-out, and the on-court battles throughout the course of the season.



    Midwestern State men and women are both undefeated in the Lone Star Conference as they head into the final week of the regular season.



    The No. 4-ranked MSU women have won 29 of a possible 35 points in their last five dual matches, and they now boasts a 16-3 overall record with an 8-0 mark in the LSC. Midwestern State, which has a nine-dual winning streak, played its final home dual match of the regular season and finished with a 9-0 record at MSU Tennis Center.



    The No. 18-ranked men have won seven consecutive dual matches and are 6-0 in the LSC after defeating Dallas Baptist, 7-0, and scoring an impressive 5-2 win over No. 19-ranked UT Tyler.



    Both teams close out the regular season with duals at Arkansas-Fort Smith and Cameron on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

    This week's Stang Gang Podcast features the latest news surrounding Midwestern State Softball with head coach Brittanie Talley. 



    Midwestern State was 5-1 on its recent homestand and has won its last three series in the Lone Star Conference.  The Mustangs have won seven of their last nine games after sweeping Western New Mexico and taking two of three games against Texas A&M-Kingsville on their recent homestand. Addison Lindemann was 2-1 on the homestand with 18 strikeouts in 16 1/3 innings. Shyanne Florence earned her first college win and her first save for the Mustangs. Kennedy Cameron threw her third complete game of the season in a 2-1 win over TAMUK. Cameron pitched 11 innings during the homestand and only allowed seven hits with just four walks and 13 strikeouts. Camile Nunez was an offensive standout during the homestand with two home runs and two doubles. Nunez scored a run in all six games. The Mustangs play their next six games on the road at St. Mary’s and St. Edward’s.

    Midwestern State men and women enjoyed a successful — albeit taxing — road trip with victories over Western New Mexico and UT Permian Basin last week. Both teams are undefeated in the Lone Star Conference. The third-ranked women have won seven consecutive dual matches and boast a 14-3 overall record with a 6-0 mark in the LSC. The 23rd-ranked men have reeled off victories in their last five dual matches, including a 4-3 win at UT Permian Basin, and have improved to 9-7 overall with a 4-0 conference record. This week Midwestern State returns home to face Dallas Baptist and UT Tyler on Friday and Saturday. Dual matches for the women will begin at 10 a.m. on both days, and the men will begin play at 2 p.m.

    This week's Stang Gang Podcast features the latest news surrounding Midwestern State Softball with head coach Brittanie Talley. 



    Midwestern State traveled to Portales, New Mexico, for a contentious series with Eastern New Mexico, and freshman Addison Lindemann picked up two wins in the circle while Kennedy Cameron earned her first save. In the rubber game of the series on Saturday, Lindemann weaved a four-hitter for her first collegiate shutout and connected on a two-run home run in the first inning to lead Midwestern State to a 3-0 win. In her last eight appearances, the Holliday native has won three times while posting a 0.84 ERA dating back to the second game of the UT Tyler series. She has allowed five earned runs on 21 hits in 41 2/3 innings with 28 strikeouts during the stretch. She also has a five-game hitting streak. Allie Monroe enjoyed her second two-homer game of the season at Eastern New Mexico, and she now leads the Mustangs with five home runs and 20 RBIs. Monroe also made her first appearance at first base during the series at Portales. 



    The Stangs are home for back-to-back series against Western New Mexico and Texas A&M-Kingsville. The Western Mustangs visit MSU for a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game on Sunday. The action starts at noon on both days. TAMUK will play a doubleheader at Mustangs Park on April 9, starting at 4 p.m. The final game with the Javelinas will be played April 10 at 1 p.m.
