This morning Sally spoke on Psalm 22. This is the psalm that Jesus quoted from the cross. The psalm alternates between cries of anguish and songs of praise of what God has done and expectation of what he can and will do on the future.

This morning Bonnie spoke on Psalm 19 on how both creation and God’s word reveals and declares his glory.

• thanking God for different aspects of his creation.
• Thanking god for the different benefits of his word based on verses 7-9.
• That we would remain routed in him today. -

This morning we looked at Psalm 18 - David’s personal story of deliverance - and the three ways we’re called to respond to difficult times.

• Thanks and praise for the trials God has brought us through
• Forgiveness for when we’re hard-hearted or too proud to cry out for help

• We started by looking at Psalm 100:4-5 in starting with praise and thanks to God.
• We then followed what Paul said in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 and prayed for all those in authority over us in particular King Charles, our PM Liz Truss and our new Government and also for the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.
• After Nic’s talk we then listened to a song called ‘I will say’ about having confidence in God as our strength and refuge whatever life throws at us. -

• Let’s pray for those who feel far from the LORD today
• Let’s pray for those who are being crushed by money given with interest to repay
• Let’s pray for ourselves, that we would find our stability in God alone and dwell with Him forever
• Let’s pray for ourselves that we would be the kind of people that David invites us to become in the psalm, holy and righteous just as God is. -
