Richard Stark's Parker | First Impressions

Richard Stark's Parker | First Impressions

Your heroes hit the streets to talk Richard Stark's Parker!

Our "First Impressions" is a spoiler-free episode where we cover: the bare bones, who this book is for, and judging the book by its cover.

"Darwyn Cooke’s beautifully stylized artwork perfectly compliments the hard-hitting action as originally written by legendary crime author Richard Stark. Parker is arguably one of the hardest hard-boiled characters in all of crime fiction and the original novels feature stories and prose that are as uncompromising as he is. This graphic novel adaptation perfectly matches the style and tone of Stark’s noir world."

Fellow Lore Olympian

I came across your podcast while looking for content about “Lore Olympus.” Your review was excellent, really thoughtful and thorough. I like how you analyze the different aspects of the story (art, writing, author, adaptations). I’d love to hear your thoughts on the later volumes if you decide to read and discuss them!

ComiClub Comes Correct!

Really enjoy throwing these episodes on every week or so and getting the ComiClub take on the latest happenings in the comic content industry. Interesting takes but you don’t need to be a die hard comic fan to enjoy the shows.

Great listen!

The hosts really drew me in.. great & disarming convo, thought provoking and fun at the same time. Great recap for both new & old comics and also of current and upcoming Marvel slate. Added to my podcast routine.
