Great podcast

Mark,Mike and Berry do a great job covering baseball and telling stories through their experiences and the experiences of their guests. Many of these guys and their careers were bed time stories to me! It’s great to hear the stories from their perspective. Check their show out!

Great show but some major unprofessionalism

Love to listen to the podcast and hear the backgrounds on some of my favorite players as a kid. The only thing stopping this from getting 5 stars is the fact that someone has their phone volume on constantly getting notifications you’re doing a podcast you do not need your phone volume on for those 50 minutes and it’s not hard to put it on silent and it hasn’t happened once because it’s been several times over the last couple months guys be better.

A Graceful Effort

I learned about this podcast when I stumbled on the fact that they had Mark Grace on an episode. Grace is my favorite all time player, and since he retired in 2003 I don't follow MLB anymore. There is just no one like him and no one that draws me to watch MLB. Always with a quick sense of humor and a depreciative joke at his own expense Grace has my respect, from his excellent and clutch play and how fun he is to root for. I mention this only because even though I stopped being aware of MLB long ago I enjoyed this podcast so much I have listened to every new episode as it's posted and went back and listened to the ones posted before I became aware of this podcast. This podcast is called 'Major League Beginnings' and the awesome hosts Mark Sweeney and Mike Pomeranz amongst other great banter ask that intriguing question for the player to recall the events of "getting the call to the show" who informed them, who is the first person they reached out to, what was it like entering a big league clubhouse as a Major Leaguer for the first time, and about their first game, first at bat, first homer, first win, as well as what it meant to them and their families and friends. It's really cool to hear these stories, in Mark Grace's case as he said "you shoulda seen me in the minor leagues!" as he was a heck of a minor leaguer, still he was told by Don Zimmer when he was first called up he had a week to prove capable of staying up in the majors. A week! The Grace interview was fantastic, the Rick Sutcliffe mustard story was hysterical, and Grace and his agent Barry Axelrod (who joined in for this interview, as he has with a few other players ) provided a nice story about Grace coming over to his house for thanksgiving early in Gracie's career and taking the neighborhood kids out for rides on his motorcycle..can you imagine! It was nice hearing Grace and Barry talk about their friendship and work relationship being very special and the amazing golf event charity they set up. This podcast deserves a subscribe and a 5 star review, give a listen and you will agree for sure! It's fun and upbeat and just really cool! I'll continue to listen to every episode!
