The Matter Leadership Podcast: Kristy Montague / Social Worker & Mom
This week's edit features Kristy Montague. On top of being a mom of two kids, Kristy has been a social worker for over 10 years in the areas of incarceration, homelessness, and foster care. After college Kristy parterend with an organization called The World Race where she went to 11 countries in 11 months: Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Nepal and India. Each month she did different work from feeding children, teaching in schools, working at a special needs orphanage, manual labor, praying for people who were sick and dying, going into bars to offer girls an option out of sex trafficking, distributing basic needs items to slums, and more. This experience greatly shaped her leadership and she shares about it with us here!
