Financial markets and the economy explained with a little help from the people inside Schroders.

In conversation with the legendary Mark Mobius

In conversation with the legendary Mark Mobius

A very, very late change to the schedule this week but it's a welcome one too.
My colleagues Vera German and Jade Zhang had the opportunity to speak to legendary Emerging Markets investor Mark Mobius on the Value Perspective, our sister podcast, and we thought it would be rude not to share that with you.
Mark founded Mobius Capital Partners in 2018 following a three-decade tenure at Franklin Templeton where he managed over $40 billion in Emerging Markets’ portfolios.
Mark has experience of the opening up of various markets including Russia. He talks about what’s changed and remained the same throughout his career; understanding company culture; the impact of AI on Emerging Markets development; and the concept of a new Cold War. It's worth saying the views expressed in the podcast are Mark's and not Schroders. Enjoy!
    RUNNING ORDER:
01:22 - Part one: Emerging markets - the early years
14:04 - Part two: AI and China
