We knew the NHL was going to have a new documentary series on Amazon that followed a number of players off the ice. We knew a camera crew was following around Gabriel Landeskog as he started to make his return to practice. We now know those two things were one in the same.

Landeskog will be part of the behind the scenes series on Amazon starting in the Fall. Something to look forward to.

We continue to make our way through the Colorado Avalanche roster and hand out seasons grades, and today we give defenseman Samuel Girard his grade.

Sammy found his way into and out of the players assistance program and looked like a new man upon his release from it. How much did that influence his grade?

Negotiations can sometimes take time. Days, weeks, even months. Or they can take one meeting where everyone is happy and the deal is done.

The latter likely won't happen this week when the Colorado Avalanche and the agent for Jonathan Drouin meet, but it is good to know that the ball is in motion for potentially signing the forward before anyone in the league can come July 1st.

Even though we haven't played a second of the Stanley Cup Final between the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers, we already have the favorites listed for next season. And the Avalanche are right behind the Oilers as the favorites to win it all next year. Should that excite us?

The Athletic took a look at 50 pending free agents across the league and projected their next contract. They did not predict which team these players would sign with, just what their contract could look like in terms of term and AAV. For the Avalanche they had three players on the list. Sean Walker, Jonathan Drouin and Yakov Trenin. Do we agree with the numbers they came up with?

Speaking of Drouin, it's his turn to get his season grade, and we can all guess what range he ended up in.

Finally, an obscure website came up with a fan aggression poll. You might be as shocked as we were as to where Avalanche fans found themselves on the list.
