Flawed Analysis
I always find it odd (and a bit unfair) when someone’s analysis of a young player drafted late is overtly negative. Especially when the player has never received the consistent role and minutes in order to improve. It’s hard to impress when you play spot minutes against the best basketball players in the world. Coach David Thorpe says playing time, along with positive reinforcement from coaches and teammates are like oxygen for aspiring young role players. How can you be critical or place unrealistic expectations on someone who plays 3 minutes one night and might not play again a month from that night? Please keep these things in mind before you write off a young player.
