    Origins of Halloween: Kenneth Mack

    Origins of Halloween: Kenneth Mack

Does it ever seem odd to you that Christians celebrate Halloween? Join me in this episode with guest speaker Kenneth Mack of Provocatively Pure as he discusses the origins of Halloween, and gives insight on why as a Christian you may think twice about celebrating this national holiday.
1 Corinthians 10:21 - You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.
Ephesians 5:11 - Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.
3 John 1:11 - Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18 - Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”
Romans 12:2 - Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

People are going to be PEOPLE

People are going to be PEOPLE

In today's world we constantly hear phrases like "keep your circle small," "you can't trust anyone" and "people are my problem." This episode explores the reason behind those phrases and how to handle "people" in your life.

10 verses on how to deal with PEOPLE

Proverbs 10:12. "Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses."
Proverbs 15:1. "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."
Proverbs 28:13. "Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy."
Matthew 7:3-4. "Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye?"
Matthew 5:44-45. "But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust."
Luke 6:27-29. "But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. To one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold"
Romans 14:13. " Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother."
Ephesians 4:15. "But speaking the truth in love may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:"
Colossians 4:6. "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man."
1 Peter 3:9. "Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing."
