Season 3: Two musical idiots from Minneapolis talk about great albums. S2: the same idiots talk about the early songs of St. Vincent. S1: Same, but every song from the seminal alt-country band Uncle Tupelo
-
3.24 In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
Chad and Keith circle around this one warily, like apes with a monolith
-
3.23 Appetite for Destruction
DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOU ARE?!?!? You’re in a dining room in south Minneapolis, baby, listening to a couple of middle aged-dudes try to figure out how music can have a weird power even when it seems mostly aimed at convincing guys like Vince Neil that Axl Rose is a cool badass
-
3.22 Tim (Let It Bleed edition)
Hey, have you ever heard of the Replacements?
-
3.21 Warehouse - Songs and Stories
A spectre is haunting We’ve Been Had — the spectre of Hüsker Dü! Also: Augie the lab comes into his own as third cohost
-
3.20 Doolittle
The gents dig into one of the foundational albums for modern indie rock, and try to figure out why the Pixies rule so hard. Also: the Old Testament.
-
3.19 The Wall
Chad’s the voice of reason, more or less, as Keith has one of his turns. Also: once again, a dog makes his presence known.
Customer Reviews
Conversational and Informed
To be honest, I’m much more of a Wilco and SV fan than UT, but these guys casually know so much about Jeff, Jay and company that it’s fascinating anyway. I can only imagine it’s even better for a diehard UT fan. Do Wilco next.
Fun Conversations
The podcast is a great conversation that is fun, informative, and critical. As a sheltered child of the '90s, I don't always know what they're talking about but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying the podcast.
Good Stuff
I liked the convo. As a product of the 90’s music scene, I appreciate it very much. And don’t forget Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden that changed the 90’s music scene forever. Don’t judge my grammar Keith.
