Cross Your T’s and Dot Your Outs
Bobby and Alex take a look at how Slam Corp stock is doing, then discuss a recent article about Diamond Baseball Holdings’s minor league shopping spree and what the encroachment of private equity means for the developmental arm of the sport. Then they settle on a slogan for the A’s and answer some mailbag questions about how to denote outs on scorebugs, governmental investigations, the outlook for robot pitchers, MLB in the Middle East, and more.

[Rebroadcast]: Vote For Pedro (feat. Sean Doolittle)
[From April 20, 2020]
Alex and Bobby are joined once again by Washington Nationals closer Sean Doolittle to break down Game 5 of the 1999 ALDS between the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians. It’s a game that features plenty of dingers, plenty of Hall of Famers, and vintage Pedro Martínez in the tightest pants imaginable. Plus: a dive into the story of Albert Belle and the greatest heist in baseball history.

Lots of Braves Slander
Totally accurate and warranted, so there yeah have it.
Fun, thoughtful, and clear
One of my favorite podcasts, they do a great job centering what’s actually happening in baseball (including the economics and labor aspects) and they are also clearly having fun doing it. Also Taylor Swift.
Thank you
I look forward to this podcast every monday. I foud this show on twitter from someone I follow and interact with alot. At first the lefty/socialist views caught me off guard and made me umcomfortable at times. Those views made me think and my views have chanegd. I never knew what was going on in the minor league systems. I do enjoy that they do not pull punches on any team. I bought a unionized the minors shirt. Thank you for opening my eyes and I can not wait for the next episode.
