Coaching Growth with Kyle Henmi @kyle_henmi2

In this conversation, Juan and Kyle discuss various topics including their experiences with challenges, the importance of mentors, the fitness industry, and the journey of becoming knowledgeable trainers. Juan emphasizes the need for trainers to be fit and strong themselves in order to earn the respect of their clients. They also touch on the importance of learning from successful individuals and incorporating their strategies into their own practices. Juan Guadarrama reflects on his journey as a mentee and mentor, highlighting the importance of learning from multiple mentors and understanding individual differences. He acknowledges his own growth as a mentor and the need to adapt his approach to each mentee's unique perspective. Juan emphasizes the significance of trust and respect in the mentor-mentee relationship and the value of allowing mentees to make their own mistakes and learn from them. He also discusses the importance of the mental aspect in sports and the role of mentors in helping athletes develop a strong mindset. The conversation concludes with a discussion on the goal of a mentor and the importance of allowing mentees to surpass their mentors. The mentor's ultimate goal should be to see their mentee become more successful than themselves. However, many mentors struggle with ego and feel threatened when their mentees outgrow them. The conversation also touches on the power of acknowledging and seeing others, as well as the importance of balancing high standards with recognizing and appreciating effort. The hosts reflect on their own growth and the impact of their mentorship relationship.

    Can't Pay for Collaboration

    Can't Pay for Collaboration

Paying for a service will not get you the results you want.

Paying only serves as the first action as expressed as commitment.

The deficit to the outcome comes in thinking that by just paying you get  fitness, leadership, spirituality, etc…

    *See lack of ownership

The real path lives inside first the commitment, then understanding that you still have to make the personal effort in your own development.

Being told what to do only makes fractional progress.

Understanding what and why your on this path opens up true progress and collaboration.

Inside collaboration ignites personal participation and the highest level of coaching.

As practitioners (coaches) we serve only as the guide not the dogmatic law.

    Commitment > Ownership > Collaboration

    That is all.

    The Cost Of Your Standards

    The Cost Of Your Standards

    The Cost Of Your Standards

Standing for your own beliefs and core values doesn’t come free of cost.

People will hate you. People will tell you to lower them. They will make you feel like you’re wrong.

The ability to see will cause discomfort. This discomfort will give you insight to the opportunity.

The opportunity is the deficit others lack to see. The clue that you’re on the right path is the fact that you can see it.

    What do you stand for?

Why do you stand for this?

    Why can’t other see it?

Is this the right thing to do?

    That is all.
