Essential Jesus for Unsettled Days – Kingdom Parents
Colossians 3 is all about getting the Kingdom into our lives while pushing out the corrupt culture. Paul has what appears to be minimal help for parents but it is actually the condensed core of how to Kingdom parent.

Essential Jesus for Unsettled Days – Marriage Part 2
Colossians 3 is all about heaven in and culture out, beginning with our minds and moving to marriage. We, believers, want marriages that are not based on culture’s roller coaster of concepts about marriage; we want Scripture’s timeless truths about how God designed men and women to partner in this wonderful ride called marriage.

Love listening
Love the way the sermons are taught. There’s a message and education to each one. Pastors are real, even humorous and make it easy to listen.
Here’s the deal
Ok so here’s what’s going on.
I was reading Luke 17 one night and had certain parts of it stick out to me that we're sort of confusing. The next morning, I felt inclined to look up podcasts in the apple podcasts app by searching “Luke 17” to see what would come up. I listened to a couple messages from several random churches/speakers until I stumbled across Edgewater speaking on Luke 17. I’m from Tacoma Washington and have never heard of these guys before. Was a part of Bridgetown church in Portland Oregon while I was in college and then moved back up to Tacoma shortly after graduating. -connection later.
I was very moved not only by the contextual and historical work demonstrated through the message but on the humility of spirit sensed throughout as well. Seriously so refreshing hearing churches becoming more vulnerable and honest yet still holding onto the power of God’s presence and future-mindedness if that makes sense. I think it was Matt that taught on Luke 17 and you can tell he works VERRRY hard on bringing revelation to even a short passage or chapter.
I’ve torn through their archives since that message so I’ve heard almost all of their leadership teach. Also such a refreshing aspect to churches to not allow pride to possibly take root in leadership. Love that accountability. Love hearing Justin teach and sadly can’t remember another person’s name but he mentions he’s a business owner. Flippin good stuff.
-connection- I sensed such a similar spirit to Bridgetown in the way they conduct their church family life, which is another reason why I was drawn to Edgewater.
Cannot say enough good things even from afar about Edgewater. I’ll stop my novel for now 😂 hopefully this gives a good understanding of a sincerely unbiased review of a church body doing things very well.
