Perhaps the best magician’s podcast

Between Jonah’s guests and his show “business” advice, this is easily my favorite podcast for magicians and the best in my opinion. I’ve been listening for years.

Best Resource in Magic!

This is the first podcast review I have written, but I feel compelled… As a lover of magic and listener to the Discourse in Magic podcast for over one year, I have to say, in my personal opinion, this this the #1 resource we have in all of Magic. Really… paid/unpaid… it doesn’t matter. The amount of content and richness of each episode is unparalleled compared to everything else. Maybe, I just love Jonah’s interview style, but every single episode leaves you with something (or many things) to improve, an idea you never really considered, or just an amazingly interesting story you may not have ever stumbled across. As I’ve listened from the beginning, this podcast has grown and matured in all aspects - content, depth, richness, and not to mention the amazing guest list! I implore any new listener to begin at the early beginning as I did. I promise you, you will find so many wonderful hidden treasures in here, especially from magicians you did not expect, or magicians you weren’t initially excited to listen to. I don’t want to give too much away… but just check out the Brian Brushwood episode from Oct 10, 2019… In this episode, Brian discusses a “letter” and I’ll leave it at that… this episode like many others was so inspiring. Regardless of experience level - hobbyist, new performer, life-long professional, or just a lover of magic… There is absolutely wonderful stuff for you inside!

Insightful

I love how the host(s) get into real meaningful discussions with their guests. Not just memories, but they get to the how and why performers do what they do.

Their “endless cycle” of asking their guests for recommendations for others to interview means they have a great slate of guests.

Highly recommend this podcast!
