Dr. P

Very open and honest responses to topics. He makes things easier to relate to and explains things to modern day things. Very very helpful to me! Words always are encouraging and his life experience in things are encouraging that we can break through issues. He’s just honest!

Teaches like an academic scholar….

David teaches from the perspective of a Biblical scholar-which isn’t a compliment. He treats the books in the Bible as ancient literature, not the Word of God. Academic scholars such as David do not believe the Bible was written for us (he has said this many times). His liberal, academic perspective comes with a hint of dry, mundane, elitism. Nothing is literal, everything is poetic and mythological. Simple, straightforward stories in the Bible are not what they seem according to him. This style of teaching presumes that “only scholars can truly understand the Bible” which is inaccurate and disappointing.
